This English version is provided for convenience. Only the German version is legally binding.

This website works without cookies and without tools that recognise you. Content from other providers only loads when you actively click on it. This policy explains which data is nevertheless processed, for what purposes, on what legal basis and what rights you have.

Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit the website, Vercel automatically processes data transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, the page accessed, the previously visited page (referrer) and information about your browser and operating system. This data is necessary to deliver the website, protect it against attacks and find errors. We do not analyse it and do not combine it with other data.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website under Art. 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR (DSGVO). Vercel processes the data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). In the process, data may be transferred to the USA. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has determined an adequate level of data protection (Art. 45 GDPR). Contact form

If you write to us via the contact form, we process the details you enter in the form: name, email address, budget range, message and, if provided, your website. The form is processed by a function at Vercel that runs in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main. It checks the details and sends them by email to our mailbox at Google Workspace (see section 5). We also send an automatic confirmation of receipt to the email address provided, which contains no details from the form other than your first name. The function itself does not store the form data. To protect against spam, the form contains an invisible field. No additional data is collected for this purpose.

We use your details only to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry is aimed at a contract, otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete the enquiry as soon as it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention periods under commercial and tax law require longer storage.

Contact by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details in order to deal with your request. The legal basis and storage period are the same as for the contact form (section 3).

Email via Google Workspace

Our emails are handled via Google Workspace, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. If you write to us, directly or via the form, your message is stored and processed there. Google processes the data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). A transfer to Google LLC in the USA is possible. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.

YouTube videos

On some pages we show videos from our YouTube channel. YouTube is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The videos are embedded in such a way that no connection to YouTube is established when you open the page: at first you only see a preview image that we host ourselves. Only when you click ‘Play’ is the video loaded via youtube-nocookie.com.

From that click onwards, Google receives, among other things, your IP address, the address of the page you are viewing and technical information about your device. YouTube may also store cookies or similar technologies on your device. A transfer to the USA is possible. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR).

The legal basis is your consent, which you give by clicking ‘Play’ (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG, the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future by not starting any more videos. You can delete cookies that have already been stored in your browser. Fonts and images

All fonts and images are stored on our own hosting. When you visit the website, no connection is established to Google Fonts or other providers.

Audience measurement with Vercel Web Analytics

To understand which pages are read and how visitors find their way to the website, we use Vercel Web Analytics from our hosting provider Vercel Inc. (for the address, see section 2). Vercel Web Analytics does not set cookies and does not store anything on your device. Visitors are counted using a hash value that is generated from your browser's request and discarded after 24 hours. As a result, no visitor can be recognised across several days or across other websites.

The following are recorded: time, page accessed, the page you came from, approximate location (country, region, city), device type, operating system and browser. We also count how often phone and email links are clicked, videos are started and enquiries are submitted. We only see aggregated figures, not individual visits. The measurement runs via our own domain. In the process, data may be transferred to the USA. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (see section 2).

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a data-minimising analysis of the use of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Vercel processes the data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR). For more information, see Vercel's information on Web Analytics.

No cookies

This website does not set cookies and does not store anything in your browser's storage. We do not use any advertising or tracking tools that recognise visitors. That is why there is no cookie banner either.

Links to social networks

We link to our profiles on LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube. These are simple links, not embedded plugins. Data is only transferred when you follow a link. The privacy policy of the respective network then applies.

Encryption

The website is delivered exclusively via an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

Your rights

You have the following rights against us at any time:

• Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
• Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object to the processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

For any matter concerning your data, an email to info@mediaonearth.com is sufficient. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Wilhelmstraße 7, 65185 Wiesbaden.

Obligation to provide data

You are not obliged to provide us with any data. However, without your name, email address and message we cannot respond to an enquiry via the form. We do not make any automated decisions and do not create profiles.
