Situation

ACC Columbia Jet Service maintains, repairs and modernises business jets at locations in Hanover and Cologne and is part of the Schoeller Holdings group. Its customers are operators and owners who need to know quickly whether a company services their aircraft type and which approvals it holds.

The challenge

The range of services is broad and technical: maintenance, painting, avionics, cabin modification, component manufacturing, AOG support and more. At the same time, the company is looking for skilled staff and apprentices. The website has to serve both audiences without overwhelming either of them.

Approach

The website is built in English and follows the question operators arrive with. Under “Services”, each of the 14 services has its own page, from Aircraft Maintenance through Avionics and Cabin Upgrades to Pre-Purchase Inspections. Under “Capabilities” there is one page each for Airbus, Bombardier, Dassault, Embraer and Gulfstream. This way an operator can find out in two clicks whether their aircraft is serviced.

Approvals and certificates are on the homepage, and a tab for AOG support can be reached from every page. A dedicated careers section with apprenticeships, downloads, training and FAQ speaks to applicants. The team publishes news itself in the news section, for example about the partnership with GE Aerospace or the Starlink retrofit on a Challenger 650. Pages on the team, partners and suppliers show who stands behind the work. Under “Resources” there is general information, training and webinars to download. More about how we work under Web design.

Result

Operators find the service and aircraft type without detours, and applicants have their own entry point with apprenticeships and open positions. The team maintains news and job listings itself. The pages on approvals under Part 145, Part 21G and Part 21J give operators the evidence they check before placing an order anyway. The website belongs to the same group as Skyside and Schoeller Holdings and follows the same clear structure by service.
